Solihull Business Club
The key words here are Business Club – the club is very much a chance to meet, have a chat and learn.
The aim of each monthly meeting, which is always the 2nd Tuesday in the month except August - when there is no meeting, is that as you leave, you will feel that you are a little wiser than when you arrived, and maybe that you have made a useful contact or two. Also that you are not alone, and that issues facing you and your company may well be similar to the challenges facing others.
Our members are drawn not just from Solihull but also from many of the surrounding areas.
The bar is open from 7:00pm
The format of each meeting is to gather from 7:00pm onwards, we start formally at 7:45pm with a main speaker who will typically talk for about an hour.
Followed with a short comfort break and a chance to re-charge your glass and then more speakers. These will be on specific topics, usually, requested by the members and will typically last for 15 minutes - from time to time they may be longer.
After these short presentations the bar will remain open and there will be an opportunity for further networking.
No compulsory presentations
If you have been along in the recent past and felt uneasy at your first meeting being asked to stand up and talk about you and your company you might well be interested to know we have dropped that format.
We have also introduced a 'Members Board' this is a three part display board where Club Notices are displayed in the middle, 'I am seeking' notices to the left and 'I am offering' notices to the right. All members are entitled to display an A5 sized notice on the board's offering section. You may add as many seeking requests as you want.
Every year we have our 'Show your business from a briefcase event' where you get a 3 foot by 3 foot area in which you can display anything related to your business.
Speakers Welcome
You are very welcome to bring your own literature to meetings and place that on chairs, at the back of the room or on the members’ notice board.
